End of the Year Giving

bellsAt Christmas we celebrate the birth of the most precious of all babies - Jesus - the Messiah. What better time to think on the plight of women who are in crisis due to an unexpected pregnancy? Certainly that was Mary's situation so many seasons ago. An unwed girl confused by a pregnancy, she could not have predicted what would come. In her hour of need an angel came and spoke to her, reassuring her that this was all part of God's plan, that this baby was special, and that Mary was blessed to carry the holy child.Undoubtedly, there is a girl this Christmas preoccupied, not with what gifts will be waiting under her tree, but what to do about the unexpected growth in her belly. This thing that could change the whole trajectory of her life. Who will be there to comfort her? What angel will come to reassure her that she is not alone? Who will walk this road alongside her, helping her to see the growth as a life, as a most precious gift from God, as a baby? Who will help her to see the options available to her, options that will preserve the life of this child? Who will give that baby a hope and a future?First Choice for Women will be there for her. First Choice wants to be there for all of the girls who are in need this season and the next, but we need your help to make that happen. Your temporal gift can have eternal results - a life preserved, a soul saved, and God’s love shared.[su_button url="/donate/" size="6" icon="icon: heart"]Give Now[/su_button]Please consider the plight of Mary this Christmas season, and give a sacrificial year-end gift right now… help a girl find hope, comfort and the courage to carry on with her pregnancy…help ensure First Choice’s ability to spread our Lord’s message, that every life is a precious one, even those that are “unplanned”.I am praying that you will give your most generous gift of the year, because ….…each year we reach thousands of women, teenagers and families in our community on multiple levels. Week after week young women in crisis and parents in need come to First Choice seeking support and guidance. As we strive to equip them for the journey ahead, we provide the mentorship and education they need to make life decisions and to grow as parents, and as children of God. At the same time they are presented with opportunities to receive not only the items needed to care for their newborn or toddler, but the tiniest luxuries they might not otherwise afford. Can you picture the light in a child’s eye who received that anticipated present from our Parent Care store; a tractor for that little boy, a doll for that little girl, and a shiny rattle for the baby? Can you see the relief in the eye of a mother who knows she will have food, diapers and a safe bed for her baby to sleep in this Christmas? Will you be the angel that brightens a child’s life and gives a mom peace of mind today? Will you be the angel that ensures each teenager in our community is equipped with the tools to choose abstinence?[su_button url="/donate/" size="6" icon="icon: heart"]Give Now[/su_button]Like you, God has blessed our staff and volunteers with a purpose and passion to spread the Gospel and show the love, compassion and grace of Jesus Christ to those hurting and in need.
