Everyday Heroes Make a Difference!
Walk for Life is a Huge Success!
We may not have had perfect weather, but we certainly had a perfect day! What a blessing it was to see well over one hundred men women and children come out to support First Choice for Women’s Annual Walk for Life on a rainy spring day! The bounce house was never empty, and the building was filled with the smiling painted faces of balloon-toting everyday superheroes, both small and large, excited to meet Superman and Supergirl! How fun it was to watch these precious little ones enjoying the morning, and what a great reminder of the importance of the work being done at First Choice every day.As we tallied the gifts from our hallmark event, we were simply overwhelmed by the generosity of the walkers, donors and sponsors. We leaped past our $20,000 goal to a combined amount (nearing record- breaking totals) of $22,278.50!In addition, 80% of registration and 70% of all the funds raised were completed online through the FundEasy “personal webpage” process, enabling us to reduce administrative time and cost for the walk. We hope everyone who chose this option enjoyed the fun and easy to use application! We are pleased to announce this new feature will be available again next year as well!We thank you!First Choice is very grateful to Westminster Presbyterian Church for allowing us to once again use their beautiful facilities.
