Everyday Heroes Make 2015 Banquet a Historic Success!
As you may have noticed at the Annual Fundraising Banquet, at our Walk for Life last spring, and throughout our newsletters and communications this year, 2015 has been all about Everyday Heroes!Looking back upon what God has done for First Choice for Women thus far this year, I am in awe…God is so good! He has provided our ministry with hundreds of Everyday Heroes! Heroes that volunteer hours upon hours at our center guiding women and families facing unplanned pregnancies to life - life for their unborn child, and eternal life through salvation and the hope of Jesus Christ. Heroes that provide the financial support that allows us to keep our doors open to hundreds of women and families in need each year.Our 29th Annual Fundraising Banquet was a no exception as Everyday Heroes came out to share in a night of celebrating and fellowship …giving glory to God and supporting the life-saving mission and ministry of First Choice.As we listened to Cally’s video testimony I couldn’t stop the tears, her story encompassed so many sad truths about our culture today. Fathers, who helped create the growing life, friends, and even family members so often push these young women toward abortion, but praise God that First Choice is here to support them as they struggle to make the right choice – the LIFE choice! Praise God that First Choice is here to help them during their pregnancy, providing lessons that will teach them about the changes in their body. And it doesn’t stop there. First Choice remains committed to these young women for the first 3 and half years of their child’s life; providing parenting classes that will give them the knowledge they need to become better parents, providing the material assistance they need to care for their baby, and providing the spiritual guidance they need to grow in the Lord.It is your kindness and generosity that make all this possible! This kindness and generosity shined brightly at the 2015 banquet. With 328 people in attendance, we surpassed last year’s record breaking fundraising dollars by a whopping 40%! Raising an unbelievable $31,187 in one time offerings. Increasing monthly gifts by $2,280 (annualized at $27,360) and receiving $12,300 in event sponsorships. Giving us an absolutely amazing 2015 banquet total of $70,847! You truly are Everyday Heroes to First Choice for Women and to our community!
