Volunteer Spotlight

Lisa Stewart has volunteered as a Parent Care Mentor with First Choice for Women for 5 years. After 37 years, she is recently retired from teaching elementary school in the Delaware Community School System. "I strive to share with our clients some of the wisdom and knowledge that I've gained through all my years of teaching and parenting my own children," Lisa states. She and her husband, Doug, have three daughters and four grandchildren with two more on the way!Lisa also embraces the spiritual aspect of volunteering. "Every week on my way to First Choice, I pray that God would use me in whatever way He chooses," she shares. "I especially love to pray with clients at the end of our Prent Care session.
