Volunteer Spotlight - Janet Powers

Janet Powers has been a volunteer with First Choice for Women in Muncie since 2016. She serves in the ministry as a ParentCare Mentor and a post-abortion recovery program leader.

“As a retiree, I felt this was my time to give back,” notes Janet. “I enjoy connecting with the clients, praying with them, and just being there for the moms through their pregnancy journey.”

Janet attends CommUNITY Church and enjoys quilting, sewing, gardening and raising chickens. She and her husband of 30 years, Charlie, love spending time with their nine grandchildren.
