2024 Banquet Recap
Our Annual Banquet on Thursday, September 26, 2024, was a beautiful evening filled with laughter, tears, and moving stories of God's providence throughout our community and beyond. The Horizon Center was filled to capacity, buzzing with people anxious to hear how God is using First Choice to reach women, men, and families in East Central Indiana.
Our Board Chairman, Michael Deutsch, opened the evening with comments, followed by a ministry update from our Executive Director, Kailee McKnight. Rather than a keynote speaker for the evening, this year First Choice chose to feature a panel of influential community members to share their stories with the audience. The panel shared beautiful stories of life and adoption, as well as devastating stories of loss, and how a place like First Choice can plug in and support women, men, and families with similar life circumstances. The primary theme throughout each of these stories is that God can redeem ANY circumstance you have been through and use it for His glory.
First Choice can be used as part of that redemption process, and is waiting with open arms for people to receive assistance through our ministry services and programs. First Choice is in the "connection business" to connect women and families with our team to receive the love and support they need, no matter life's circumstances. Whether recovering from a pregnancy loss, discovering an unexpected pregnancy, or learning to be a father, First Choice WILL come alongside you. First Choice's vision states that we "seek to achieve a community in which every individual is respected and every child is wanted, cared for, and nurtured" and that was truly the theme of last evening's events.
Kailee McKnight, Executive Director, closed the evening by casting First Choice's vision and primary goal for 2025. First Choice would like to once again be open full-time in Muncie and Anderson, and we will need to operate within a $1 Million budget in 2025 to fulfill this dream.
