Volunteer Spotlight: Karen Townsend
“I didn’t know that pregnancy resource center work was my passion until I started to volunteer at First Choice. There are challenges associated with the work, but the rewards significantly outweigh those hallenges. I just feel so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful organization”.Karen has volunteered with First Choice for since 2007. She is a client advocate for both pregnancy tests and parent care clients. Karen was recently awarded the Schuman Outstanding Service Award for her commitment and dedication to First Choice for Women.Karen and her husband of 31 years, Ed, have 10 children, 20 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren. She is very active at Union Chapel Ministries, where she assists with SERVE and Community Days as well as organizing dinners for families who have lost a loved one.Thank you Karen for your service to First Choice for Women!
