Presidential Perspective
by Todd Lail, Board Chairman
Dear friends of First Choice,
Galatians 6:9 says “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” and 2 Thessalonians 3:13 says basically the same thing. God knew that doing the right thing is quite often not the easy thing, and that in our efforts to do “good” we would need encouragement like what we find in these verses.
I am very excited about all the good that First Choice has been doing for the last 30 years, and that we are continually trying to do even better. As we work on our strategic plan, which will guide us through the upcoming years, the potential to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those who need to know how to create positive relationships and choose abstinence; to those who are facing unplanned pregnancies; and to those who are hurting because of a past abortion, is great. However, when an out of control car damages our landscaping; when air conditioners fail and need to be replaced; when decisions to abort a child are made, or when the abstinence message is rejected, the temptation to grow weary can be overwhelming. At times like these we are so thankful that we not only have God’s Word to encourage us, but that we have all of you as well. Your support of First Choice for Women through prayer, volunteering and giving encourages us, and gives us hope as we strive to give hope to others.
I look forward to sharing more about what God has laid on the heart of this ministry in the coming months – more about our desire to expand our influence in the community, and more about our hope to reach a broader demographic. I’m confident that you will be as excited about our plans as we are, and encourage you to tell others about First Choice and the amazing things God is doing at the Center.
The more people know about who we are, what we are doing, and what we’re all about, the greater the chances they will connect with the love and support that First Choice offers. The more people who know about us, the greater the chances that those who have a passion consistent with our ministry will get involved – the more people who are involved, the more people we can help. The more people we help, the more lives that will be saved.
Looking forward to all God will do,
Todd Lail, Chairman
