VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: Mary Schumacher

Mary Schumacher has volunteered with First Choice for Women since 2007. “I love bonding with the mothers and their babies. I enjoy mentoring these girls because I can relate to what they are going through. I was a single mom over 50 years ago.”Mary attends Riverside United Methodist Church. She enjoys volunteering with Christian Ministries, Covenant Partners and spending time with her two children and four grandchildren.You might also know Mary from her appearances at our annual Walk for Life as her alter ego, “Huggie” the clown.
