Janet Powers has been a volunteer with First Choice for Women in Muncie since 2016. She serves in the ministry as a ParentCare Mentor and a post-abortion recovery program leader.

In our last newsletter, we described the difference between abstinence-only education and comprehensive sex education. The article may have initially caused some confusion about what program we use in our local schools, so I wanted to take a moment to clarify.

Born in Tennessee, Kailee and her parents moved to Alexandria, Indiana when she was in the first grade. Graduating from Alexandria High School, this Madison County native has a heart for helping others.

Life today can be difficult to navigate. We live in a world that is in turmoil, hearing voices that tell us what is right and what is wrong, yet when we see it through a Biblical worldview, these perspectives are proven faulty. We are divided in our towns, cities, counties, states, and our country.

United Way Gives
Did you know that First Choice for Women can receive donations through the United Way? All you have to do is designate the funds when pledging through your company’s United Way campaign drive.
Church Spotlight - Grace Baptist Church
Our Church Spotlight this quarter is Grace Baptist Church in Muncie. Located on the corner of South Nebo and River Road, Grace Baptist was founded in 1963. Rory Bond became Senior Pastor in 2012 after the retirement of Dr. Glenn Collins, who served in that position for over 45 years.
Community Connections
Many thanks to the Ladies Fellowship of True Light Baptist Church in Muncie for hosting a baby shower to benefit First Choice for Women. It was a great night of food fun and fellowship!
First Choice for Women of Anderson & Madison County Welcomes New Center Director Alyssa Ritchie
The First Choice for Women, Inc. Board of Directors and staff welcomed their new Center Director, Alyssa Ritchie, to the organization earlier this year. Ritchie succeeds Interim Center Director, Leslie Hatcher. Ritchie will lead the ministry’s efforts in the Anderson and Madison County communities.

Stephanie Tate volunteers as a ParentCare Mentor and Pregnancy Test Advocate atFirst Choice for Women of Anderson & Madison County. As a teenage mother herself, Stephanie has a heart for young mothers, and serves an average of 8 hours a week.

Over the last 5 years I have had the pleasure of watching the Lord transform our efforts into a thriving ministry spanning two counties!
